Fitted electric combi couple of months ago. Elnur Gabarron CMX18, pretty straight forward and it can be set from 3kw to 18kw in 3kw jumps. It runs 7 rads and hot water on a combi basis. It is available on the web but pricey, I sourced through local builders merchant who actually bought it from CEF. They are made by a company in Madrid, it was the electrician on the job that recommended it.

Few more details on the link below. I paid 1195+vat

Elnur Electric Combi Central Heating Boiler 18kw max (Heating & hot water) - Free delivery

Exactly like one, it has integral filling loop and two pressure relief valves, I treat it as unvented hot water as it has an internal thermal store of 50 litres. There's no isolation provided for heating flow and returns but an iso valve on the incoming cold.

did you fit lime preventer ,central heating filter ? PRV does it need tundish in a visual point ? What sort of rate did you charge ,I presume will be just the same as a gas boiler , who will need to register unit with building control ??

No, soft water area, yes, no instructions on prv and didn't come with one (bought one from tool station) boiler was fitted in airing cupboard and I registered it under my unvented ticket.

Rate wise it was a real miss mash. Originally was going to be new oil boiler, S plan controls, new cloakroom, new kitchen and an outside tap. Job totally changed and ended up charging time + materials.

Ideally it would have been charged as a combi system swap, but old building, upstairs on three levels, pain to connect up htg f&r to airing cupboard and difficult prv discharge. Plus bathroom rad on circs to convert back to htg. All in all turned out well with all the changes, would have been well out on a standard price.

The only down side at the moment is that nobody has any running costs data. The cust is going to let me know once they've had a couple of electric bills.

oh he might just delete your number after see the bill :) :) lol

will will be cheaper then the cost of the new gas run in this property tbho ,trasco r taking ,you know 6k for a bit of gas run done in a day between two man max two days !

We had to have gas installed at the wifes laundrette 5 years ago. I worked out max gas consumption from driers and boiler, they did site visit, 6m of 1 1/4" £1250. Had to pay 8 weeks before they did it and then they turned up with 3/4". Got £250 back and an apology after changed for right size. They where there for less than an hour, dug hole in footpath (tarmac), dug hole in front of shop (concrete), small hole in grass and moled it. Two days later a crew came and re- tarmac'd path, next day another crew did the concrete and then two days later they came and picked up the road signs and barrier.

My company is the approved installer for Thermaflow Heating in the Hampshire/Sussex counties. A recent one we did cost £100 per month throughout Winter 2010 (not bad for a 3 bedroom terraced house).

Very good boilers in my opinion and there design makes them much, much cheaper to run than flow boilers.

I looked at something similiar before going with the Gabarron, unit wouldn't have gone into airing cupboard. I think I looked at a combination unit with the aztec and an unvented direct cylinder.
