hello - I am curious if there is a plumbing standard or electrical standard that applies. Situation is unit block, old 50's apartment - 10+ electrical meters in wire cage together. Someone has put forward a bylaw change that will allow them to run kitchen piping in body corporate areas that will run with in a meter (open) of our electrical meters. (its also higher- so if it cracks the water will flow down to them) (essentially they are making the old kitchen a bedroom and putting a new kitchen into the lounge room) I am worried that electricity and water don't mix - surely there is some clause that metre rooms have to be dry? (im flicking through the electrical standards but curious if someone could point me in the right direction!) Have concerns that putting new kitchen piping into laundry piping in a 50's block will lead to issues to.... grateful for any advice!
