Elson coral e leaking brown water

Hi my boyfriend has a Elson coral e, he noticed yesterday it is leaking brown water from.the bottom and it is not working at all.

Any suggestions as to what the problem maybe?

There's so much scope to go with here for a daft answer Heather.

Safest to say you need someone in, it could be anything from the immersion failed to a knackered sacrificial anode to a split seam.

Heather,I look after a place with 56 of these, so I have plenty experience with them, is the water around the base of the cylinder towards the bottom right hand side, if it is , it's is time for a new one, if it's leaking around the two immersion heaters it's fixable could you post a pic ?
