Does anyone on here employ staff on a PAYE basis. If so, do you mind sharing what wages you pay and benefits/bonuses etc. Feel free to send a message direct. Trying to get a feel for the market. Also anyone employed by a company could also help by letting me know their deal. I know this may be a bit personal to you may not want to share, but thought it was worth an ask.

Depends on where you are in the country I suppose. Really would be at least how much money they make now minus expenses of hiring them (holiday, sick pay, employer NI, tools, van, insurance) divide whats left by two. Going rates are relevant if you are trying to source someone already employed in industry and want to meet their expectations. Otherwise its how much money they bring in.

So what is the going rate? I’m trying to research to see what people are paid, if price work is offered, performance related bonus etc etc.
It’s hard to find that sort of info.
what is the difference between a plumber or someone with their gas qualification. It’s all quite difficult to judge.
