What percentage of new builds today have exclusively plastic run wherever pipes aren't seen?

What percentage do you reckon there were in 2000?

How about 1980?

Thanks

I would say

100%

90%

5% at most

:)

I bought my first house ( new build bungalow) in 1972 on an estate of over 100.
All the cold was plastic.
All the hot was copper.
It was at the time of Imperial to Metric changeover, it had 3/4" copper pipe with 22mm fittings and a good dose of solder in each including the gas.
I suspect the plastic was only used due to shortages of copper pipe / fittings.

I bought a newbuild in 1977, small development of 15 or so, all pipwework copper.

The house I'm in now I bought new build in 1988, estate of around 100, all pipwework copper.

My Son bought a new build 3 years ago, all plastic.
