Hi guys

Friend of my gf has just messaged and said they have no heating or hot water on their combi.

advised to check pressure - all ok

make sure turned on at programmer - all ok

turn room stat up - done

Still nothing, anything else i can suggest they check? Have told them to report the problem to the landlord but was thinking it might be something simple they could check themselves.

Thanks

its an isar in disguise . any fault codes on screen or lights

Gas is ok too.

She said the error code was flashing alternately from 0 to 3 lines (sounds strange)

0 to 3 lines is an overheat error. Boiler needs to cool down before it will reset. Blocked primary HE, pump failure or low on water are my guesses.

I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep straight away.

Went round to see it today. Flat was empty and the heating had obviously been on, the rads were warm. I don't think it was intentional she obviously left the room stat turned up and the heating must have kicked in at some point during the day.

Checked heating was going on and off and also checked the hot water but not much happening. The boiler was starting up but going off almost straight away.

The pump was absolutely red hot, I bled it and got a lot of air out and then the boiler then started operating properly. I checked the heating was going on and off and was also getting hot water. All appeared ok was happy just to get it done without ringing my boss. :D
