what size expantion vessel do i need , does it depend on ur system capacity

its for the cental heating it keeps building pressure up above 3 bar then venting of i had an external vessel fitted a few years ago but it looks as though its faulty and ive no idear of its capacity

1 bar for me, but don't forget to drop the system pressure first. If you get water out the schrader valve I would say its goosed. If there's no label on it to give the capacity just measure it and take the measurements into the plumbers merchants, they should be able to help. :)
