Explaining system.

I went to a job today and asked the customer a few questions. "where is the filling loop? Where is the thermostat?.. Vacant look...Why is it on a fairly new system the customer doesn't know how it works. On the benchmark book it states that the customer has been shown. Anyone else experienced this?
