can anyone hazard a guess at what it might cost to alter a 63mm plastic gas supply, it needs to re-routed about 18m round an extention going on the back of a house
cheers

Lol. Depends on how friendly the gas board are feeling on the day. Anywhere from £500 - £3500

Prior to or after the meter

prior, the 63mm runs across the back gardens of 2 semi detached feeding the meters its about 2m from the house wall but a 7m extention is going on so it needs to divert round 3 sides of the extention
cheers

I would be looking at about £7 - £10 thousand cause thats what they charge round here

As Simon says depends how the gas board are feeling probably endless paperwork and site meetings required, a mate of mine was on a job were they were changing from oil to gas and they wanted 10 grand to put in a supply and he had to fill out loads of paperwork. Whatever it is aint gonna be cheap my guess would be 3 upwards

Yeah some blokes do little jobs on the way home dont think how NG would like it if they caught them at it

We should know better but find an SGN or Turriff van.

Might be worth a visit to the Coatbridge depot for a word with someone. They will probably give you an idea.
They will take money off if the groundworks are done for them.
Similar costs may be in here somewhere if it is classed as std works.

Maybe you could self pay upto the point of connection then it would be a simple fusion welding job..? Contact your local network operator and no doubt they will send you a self lay spec document as long as you get to speak to someone who knows what day it is..
