Hello, i was in my loft the other day and took the cover off my F & E tank. The water in the tank has Fernox MB-1 in it but on the top of the water, at the edges of the tank i have what appears to be mould growing in small patches.

Is this normal as the water is mostly stagnent ?

Should i add anything else to the tank to get rid of this stuff or is it okay ?

The system was washed through last year.

Just clean out mould if you wish, should not happen again if lid fitted tightly,it can happen once chemical applied to a system, previously with non,as chemical keeps system clean put also kills any life that had developed previously in and around tank or upper pipework, this floats to the top
