Been to a job, someone had been before me and changed a pump but still no hw.

Customer hadn't turned heating on yet this year.

I pushed lever on 2 port and it all fired up. Switched heating on appears to work ok.

Turned both off at programmer, everything still runs.

Removed programmer, everything still runs.

Seems as though I need to replace the HW 2 port but I am going to change both.

Is anyone familiar with these? They look really old, i can't find anything about them. Ideally I will replace with a couple of Honeywells providing the wiring is ok.

Thanks

There was a period when Barlo wanted to be a complete heating system manufacturer, when in fact the only product they actually made was radiators. For example Halstead made their boilers for them.

I can't remember who badged the controls, but there is a good chance that if you take a pic and post it, one of the old timers will immediately recognise it.

They look similar to the older Siemens, not 100% but trying to see if I've got one in garage.

Thanks.

Need to replace this week, and trying to find as much info as i can. Anything that makes the wiring easier the better.

Sorry mate duff gen its ACL Drayton

ACL Drayton ZA5/679-2

ZA5/679-2 (Zone Valve) 22mm 2-port

Drayton motorised valves now feature removable actuators which simplify installation and future servicing.

No tools are required to fit the actuator to the body as it simply clicks into place.

To remove just press the release button and lift the actuator from the body.

Replaces:
ACL Drayton Lifestyle 679H308-30L1
Drayton ZVA22.
British Gas MV22Z
Barlo 2PV1

Download datasheet

So a Drayton should be a straight swap?

I doubt you will be able to remove the head, and everyone try's to keep standardish colours now, looking at the photo blue and brown would be motor activation, think black is now our grey and the white would be orange, but I would test on site before you remove the old valve. With no call see if the black is permanently live, and brown is dead, with call see if brown then energises, then I would wire as above.

Yeah will be a drain down but like you say i will wire it up first and see if it works.

Sorry mate just got back in.
The Barlo is quite old so probably the valve itself won't be the best, you could try but I would take anew valve with me just in case.

Just a quick update, had to cut out the Barlos and whipped in a couple of Honeywells, all sorted. Thanks for all your help.
