Went to a property which was for sale but no contracts had been signed. The prospective purchaser wanted a quote for a new boiler so I went along with estate agent to view. The first thing I noticed was the old boiler; it had been drained down and disconnected from the gas supply. Good job it had! It was a Glow-worm fanned flue, mounted on an internal wall and the flue had been completely boxed in a void for approx 1.5 metres, next to an old chimney. Although I didn't inspect inside the void, I can only suspect the flue had terminated inside the chimney! I've never seen anything like it. This can't be acceptable and I can't think why anyone in their right mind would install such a lemon. Hope I get the job cos I'll rip the void out and post some pics.

Lol. This makes me wonder what goes on with Dom regs. This is acceptable on com. Ok with a lil more regs and other things. Would save alot of hastle on some jobs for Dom thou
