Just wondering what everyone's prefered thread seal/gas paste is?

I use Rocol. It's messy but good stuff. Don't get on with gas ptfe tape!

Hawk White, the smell reminds me of being a kid and my old man coming home stinking of it!

we use some thats in an orange tin, ive never actually paid any attention to what its actually called, we all call it "gas sh*t" but its thick as hell and sticky as anything. its never failed on us yet,

I use rocal. But like JonM said it can me messy stuff. Just remember to put the lid back on after use and don't just throw it in the back of the van like I did. I did it months ago and there's still bits of it all over my gear.

jetlube v2 plus, cheaper than gas grease, not as messy, and it is also very good on water as well

Anyone tried something called jetblue? That's what I see the gas network installers using on the steel pipe

jetblue from build/plumb center, doesnt spill if the lid comes off and doesnt stink of linseed oil.

rocol in the orange tin sticks to everything or loctite 55 is great no mess

Boss/hawk white (plumbers perfume). Masks the smell of every other perfume. So i've been told;)

Jetlube V2.

Even though it smells like cats pee when you first open it! imho anyway!

Thanks everyone, I've always used Boss white but have tired of the smell hence the question. I think jetlube v2 seems to have the most votes (just) so will give that a go.
Thanks again
Shorty

Boss white is something i must admit, i never get tired of smelling. It is just instantly recognisable to everyone as "plumber". They are not sure what the smell is and usually describe it as pipes :)
