Hi all ,
I just move to a new flat and I have a problem with central heating with my ferroli F24B boiler, hot water is working well and everything is working in test mode however heating is not working in normal mode .
Do you have any idea of what could be he problem?

Best Regards,

Adrien

could be a few things - have you checked the room stat is working ok with the boiler, have you set the programmer to call for heat? Could also be a faulty diverter; even if you have a dripping hot tap this can prevent the diverter from moving over - probs best to get a GSR to take a look IMO

I just solve the problem ; in fact the room thermostat was not connected to the boiler ...

Second problem some radiator are cold on the top and hot at the bottomany idea about this ?
Each radiator has two valves ( a thermostatic one (not sure of the term) and a "normal valve"
Here are the picture of those two valve of the bottom and of a kind of screw on top.
If you have any idea of what to do with those two valve ?? ( especially the second one as the first one should be to adjust the heat on a specific radiator)

The first "big" valve the thermostatic one I guess :

The second valve : classic valve : h__p://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/18/img20120923174512.jpg/

and to finish the screw h__p://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/832/img20120923174552.jpg/

Sorry for the picture but I am not allowed to post link , so just replace __ by tt
Thanks for any help ,

Best Regards,

Cheers Adj. Your rads need bleeding now. Keep an eye on the pressure at the boiler.

How do you do that ? and what is the "good" pressure ? for the moment the pressure is around 1.2/1.5 bar is that ok ?

Thanks a lot , any idea of where to find the tool to open it ? or is this a " standart " tool available everywhere ?

Standard in any hardware shop or DIY store. Just ask for a radiator bleed key.

ok thanks a lot , so just unscrew it , let the air going out and close it , right ?
