Ferroli Fertech 31C (pile of junk) question.

Wee bit of help please.
Last job of evening. No hot water.
Never come across this pile of junk. It's like the budget version of a budget boiler. Branded 'FER'. Its 5 yr old and looks like its at least 15yr old due to multiple leaks/issues previously.
It has a plate hex, divertor motor and hot water turbine flow switch.
No hot water. Heating is ok. Hot water pre heat works itself.
Put on heating and run tap and hot water will kick in and ramp up. Turn off water and turn back on tap and nothing until the time delay expires and heating fires up again then you will get hot water again if turn on tap.

Thats the thing. Heating off. Nothing from hw tap.
Heating on. Boiler fired up on low flame. Turn on tap & there is a noticeable ramp up to high rate and you get hot water.

I cringe when I hear the word ferroli ,, U said on your first post you switched the water off did u mean the pre heat ? When u said it ramps up did the water get hot outa the tap , ? If not then diverter valve , especially if no fault codes are showing , when u run the tap look at the control panel n see if it thinks it's going into hw mode, ( look at the lad digital display )

No fault codes showing- fault codes are only thing that's listed in MI's for any help.
Turn on hot water tap with heating off-cold water.
Switch from eco to comfort- hot water pre heat kicks in.
Turn on heating & small flame symbol in display- turn on tap & small flame goes to large flame symbol & you get hot water.
Turn off hot tap and will get no hot water again until heating delay cycle finishes and get low flame symbol showing again when boiler fires.

Need try giving Ferroli a buzz later and see if any help.
This boiler has probably hit my number one spot for the biggest pile of junk I have ever had pleasure of working on (defo in top 3 anyway) & hope I never see one again!

That doesn't make logical sense why it would be doing that! Diverter is moving with activation of flow switch but it's having ignition failure in dhw mode and no hot water priority after the tap is turned off the first time. PCB is a firm favourite I think !

I've had 2 Baxi Duo Tec HE doing this and it was the pcb. However, the demand for DHW would come on and it would just run round the ch. Switch the boiler off and on again and you can get DHW once. Then back to the way it was before.

"logical" & "sense" are too words you should never see in same sentence as "Ferroli".

As per Ferroli's useless assistance I ordered Flow turbine to rule this out first. Problem is there appears to be none available in UK at moment.
