Hi, we have a Ferroli F30 that hasn't been working for either CH or HW for a while.

The low water pressure light is flashing despite the pressure gauge reading 1 bar. Having spoken to Ferroli I 'overrode' the low water pressure sensor by just joining the leads to it with a piece of wire and it worked fine, so I changed the water pressure sensor itself but that hasn't solved the issue. If anyone has any suggestions as to what else I can do I'd be very appreciative! Could changing the pressure gauge itself fix it? It seems to work fine as it rises/falls as I fill/bleed the system. Someone has mentioned that the flow and return valves could be jammed but I'm not sure what this means?

Many thanks in advance

Robert

maybe you have a corroded system and the LWP has blocked again,do not use the boiler if the LWP is looped it will cause the boiler, house etc to explode if your pressure gauge is faulty, why not try posting your area/location up in the find a plumber section? someone may be able to help, finally welcome to the forums

be careful as gas man said but link it out again to check it works, if so could be blocked on the waterway.

Hi Gasman, many thanks for your help - I won't be overriding the LWP again anytime soon! The system could well be corroded, we moved in about a year ago and haven't done anything to it since we moved but judging by the rest of the house I doubt much attention was paid to it previously. I will post something in the find a plumber section, thank you

Hi Neily, thank you. Would I be able to check if the waterway is blocked myself?

You should not, but if you tell your plumber that you suspect the connection to the pressure switch to be blocked he might be out the door before you even realize, leaving only a small footprint in your pocket.

Should have added that this indicates strongly that your system needs flushed.
The sooner the better. You pay it anyway either to your gas provider or to your plumber.

Did you find out the problem I have exactly the same, my engineer has changed the Venturi but system worked for 10 hours and stopped working, and now he is stumped and said to ring a ferroli engineer.

Yep. Read the forum rules and then call in a ferroli engineer as suggested. Thank you.
