Hi i am a gas safe installer. I am looking to get into the diagnostics side more for when i am older.
So i was called out to a job.
Ferroli modena 102 would not fire up. I took the combustion case off. Here is what i fount
The fan and pump both run.
I attached my u gauge and rougly got a eading of 1.5mb from the fan which is right according to the air pressure switch.
The ignitor sparks but does not light, so there is no gas being released. I assumed as the fan ran at the correct speed but no ignition that it must be the aps??
I checked the venturi and it broke off. I have now changed the venturi, and still no ignition.
When i blow and suck the pressure tubes i can hear the click of the contact being made but nothing fires up still.
Is this the air pressure switch or not? i thought by blowing or sucking it would fire up if it was the aps.
Help please
