Hi guys,

I've had 2 boilers to fit over the weekend. Ideal logic plus

I fitted one today only to find the fibre washer missing from the gas cock pack. I had to replace it with one from the other boiler but now I'm missing one fir tomorrows boiler

Acording the the mi, it's a blue non-metallic fibre washer

I'm assuming a standard fibre washer just won't do. Can u advise please on what I can use instead and if there really is any difference between these washers

buy one from your merchant!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and yes they are different

I would buy one if they were open tomorrow (Sunday) even though I shouldnt have too as it was missing from the box

Just done a search on the forum and a few say that the would use the green fibre washers as these sem tp be used for gas cocks as well as the blue type

From memory the blueys are a different material with I cant remember wot in them, green are water only. Anyway why u working on a sunday, should be in a church or shopping.

ive had boilers with normal green washers for the gas valve so cant see a problem there

If its gas tight when you leave then I'd be happy.
"It was gas tight when I left" will not stand up in court if it was proven that you used a known gas approved washer that leaked after you left.
There are gas approved washers that must be used, preferably one supplied by manufacturer. Your standard fiber washer is not gas approved.

wouldn't ever park my van in that car park I have my reputation to think of:6:
