going to start plumbing in the water side of the system i am working on at the moment (finished putting in the heating side) the cold connection at the boiler is 15mm. im looking at running in 22mm from the mains and reducing down to 22mm closer to the boiler also withe the hot side comeing from the boiler in 15mm and Teeing of to the bath in 22mm.
or can i just do the lot in 15mm

any thoughts or ideas

hi pauls,
dont do it m8, the water main i s proberblt 15mm feed from cock anyway, so increasing to 22mm will not be a good idea and will terminate into 15mm again at boiler. apart from costing more for 22mm pipe it will gain nothing.

cheers fellas

im glad you said 15mm thats what i wanted to do and it does save me a bit in copper😀

i was wondering if the bath flow would suffer though in 15mm

no it can only fill the bath at the boiler output rata ie 12ltr per min even if in 22mm but with more preasure not flow,.
