Thanks puddle mate, went great have to admit, looking forward to tomorrow, i know it will be hard and it will be a long road, but im willing to stick through it and im lucky that i have a misses and family that will support me through tick and thin😀

glad to hear you enjoyed it.
lucky to have a supportive family matey

good luck

I finished my OLCI couse in March 09

Found it a good course but customer services are not to good and they are there to make money as i found out recently when they wanted me to pay for my NVQ level 2 site assessments even though i already had when i started the course in April 08 when i payed for the course upfront.

I also found the teaching is a little basic, they could do more real life situations personally i would have found this more useful and raised my confidence as there have been a few jobs i have done since passing which were tricky to say the least.

But Good Luck mate and i hope it all goes well for you. What centre are you attending?

im in the cardiff centre, must admit its good, hard to take it all in tho i must say, but hopefully il get there in the end,ye ive heard the head office is a nightmare but so far havent had much to do with them

6129 and the 6089 nvq, ive been doing 'BASIC' plumbing for about 9 years now, went to college when i left school to do aprentiship.....but didnt finish ( didnt listen to my father, tutors ) and im really regreting it now so thats why im taking this route,i know its not the best route but, im willing to listen and learn.I know that this time i have to succeed in doing this 😉

the teaching may appear basic but they must stick to the scheme. real life situations comes from doing it for real in real life. the colleges can only do so much, they MUST teach the underpinning knowledge and low level skills to build on. you always revert back to first principle when you hit a problem, then you rely on the basic training from trainers

Good luck on the course mate, I started with them in May of last year, like you say a lot to take in, but well worth the effort. Just about to sit the first assessment, will keep you posted
