Don't connect it to the hot supply like in one house I went to, apparently the woman complained to the plumber about it after using it for the first time and he duly informed her that if she wanted it cold to turn off the boiler !

Haha, plan on doing it properly to regs. you never know something else may come of it.

If you do a good job without overcharging it will... oh and don't forget to clean up after yourself (goes along way sometimes)

Not pinching threads but I went to a house with no heating the other day/ week that had no central heating.
To cut a long story short, the outside tap was connected to the DHW and had burst which kept the combi in DHW mode.
Good news on you outside tap job keep it clean and don't rush

Always do to be fair regardless of who its for. funny really about how much it could affect future work. people always seem to remember the bad things more than the good ones.

Your only ever as good as your last job.... remember MUD sticks and has a nasty habit of spreading very quickly imho

Nice one good luck, i'll be nervous as hell when i do my first job by myself.

first thing , make sure you turn mains OFF , and tell people in the house not to turn water back on !

believe in your self and everything will be ok .

pls come here tomorrow and tell us how did it go !

good luck on your first real job. just take your time and everything will be ok.

whats wrong with that?
i was chatting to the customer all through last years o/t job and did the same when i realised it was running hot.lol.

Good luck. My first job was a new wc and basin. Although only 4-5 years ago it feels like nearly 15.

Was beginning to think I knew a fair amount but today met another plumber and he was showing me all the steelwork he'd done for a hotel while I was watching his mate grind out new threads on new steel pipes, etc ...

You never stop learning and reaching new levels.
