hi all,
Just took delivery of a hudson reed (palero) designer rad. It comes with 4 fixing brackets which the rad hooks over. However there is no fitting instructions in the box as to the correct spacing between brackets and because its an s shape from the wall cant see how to get accurate measurements. Looked on website, and called, not able to assist much.
Has anyone fitted one of these or perhaps can enlighten me of an easy way to do it , Many thanks
john

hi nick
the syle of the rad makes it awkward to do this, tho perhaps if can get the top 2 brackets fixed, the bottom 2 might be easier, thanks,
john

Sometimes you can fix the brackets onto the rad first and then hold it against the wall to mark, usually do this on ladder rads, obviously needs two pairs of hands though.

these r hook brackets, will try, dont want to ruin tiles tho by getting it wrong
cheers

How about laying the rad flat, positioning the brackets on the rad and then take any relevant measurements you need, ie. bracket to bracket, bracket to tappings or bracket to pipe centres. Then apply the measurements to the wall.

i agree with mark on this one.
least you can get the top two brackets on and hang the rad on the brackets and then you can line up the bottom brackets easyer.

thanks guys for all the tips, stood rad on some timber, got mrs to hold it steady and marked top 2 brackets on wall.Once drilled them in rad hung on and marked bottom 2. However because of the shape(S) , looks little out when looking down grout lines. But putting spirit level on top bar says its dead level. Guess when rad gets shaped like that levels go out the window!
thanks, john
