what is the best proven method to fixing a bath to the wall as so to prevent any movement

thanks

Build a nice wooden cradle, fixed to the wall and floor available, pva timber and bed the bath down on it

Build a batten which will fit under the lip of the bath when it is placed against the wall.

I often use a 20mm piece of wood and tack a 10mm strip to it which usually fits most baths.

Give it a try!

here in spain we cement them in
brick and cement feet and walls then tile under and on top around bath
solid
only best on concrete floors
for wood floors and normal size baths use bath legs that come with bath
then some bath come with wall brackets fix above the baths edge
if not buy some flat brackets the type with lots of screws hole in them and fix
under the bath

or better you can cut a slot out of the wall a cement in in the wall ,then tile on top
or see if the bath has any recommendation .

good luck

well the legs should carry most of the weight, you ment to counter support them (not just have them straigt on wooden floor. I used to silicone the lip of the bath and never had any comebacks, but usually now i just batten round the edge, so if anybody does stand on the egde it doesnt flex and break the seal.
