Hi everyone,

Please excuse what is probably a very amateur question.

I am trying to fit a new mixer tap to the sink in my bathroom (it wasn't broken, but I changed the one on the bath, and was informed that it was imperative that the two matched ). I have removed the old tap, but I cannot remove the old tap tails from the water supply. The water supply pipes seem to be put together in a way that looks odd to me, and I wouldn't know where to begin removing the old tap tails (or attaching the new ones) from the water supply in this setup.

Here is a picture showing the pipes (http://www.postimage.org/image.php?v=PqsTakJ), as it's quite difficult to explain. I'm sure someone who is more of a pro will just be able to look at it and tell me how common this setup is and make me feel very foolish...!

I'd really appreciate any help you can give.

Many thanks

Dave

osma gold fittings you will probbly habe to cut the lot of and replace as i dont think they are demountable and if they are youll neeed a special tool

I feared as much! Time to call in a professional then I think!

Thanks for your help, really is much appreciated.

dave it isnt that hard to do if your a competent diy er. drain your system down cut the tails as close as you can to the tap. go out and buy some 15 mil flexi pipes/hoses and a couple of 15 mil inserts.
