Fitting smart stats ££

What do you guys charge for fitting a smart thermostat.
Nest or hive to a combi?

It’s one of those jobs that could take an hour or could take 3. I have had a few hard to pair hives

Hive there's a knack. Plug the Hub in well before you power up the receiver, like 30/45 mins before. It's the first thing I do now before doing anything else.

But generally around £80-120 for fitting + VAT if it's a straightish swap. Bit more when rewiring is getting involved.

Hold the silver button down on the hive until the led goes purple / it will change from green should pair instantly

I’m PAYE, so doesn’t really matter how long it takes, but 95% of our systems are combi boilers, and the ones that have Nest or Hive we’re done under some scheme. All others are straightforward on/off stats. I would like to start doing them as “foreigners/jobs on the side” though. Be interesting to see prices.

Would allow 1 hour depending on what it is eg combi is fine heat only would allow maybe more depending on wiring system state
