Flamco aav

Hi, just flushed a system today, water looked more like crude oil.

With the system filled and curriculating I had had a quick look to see if I could spot any leaks that might be drawing in air. No sign of anything but the aav was making noise, it was as if it would never stop letting out air.

Now I'm thinking it could be sucking it in, it's on the flow coil and the pump is on the return coil.

Really unsure about this system, oil and range into a twin coil cylinder, seems like they've capped one open vent and then slapped on a blow valve with not even a pipe turned down

Ya, basically just the coil between them. It's the usual spot for the vent but I'd be worried the pump is pulling air in.

With their positions yes I suspect the AAV is drawing in air as its on the suction side of the pump? Is it open vented or sealed?

Put a balloon over the body and seal it you will see if it’s pulling
