Does anyone know which stickers we should put on the van to carry standard map/propane bottles.

No flammable tools left in van over night?

Or

Police follow this van it's full of gas

This info is a few years old, but the fire-brigade asked us NOT to put stickers on our vehicles.

Unless you are carrying a significant volume, the risk is not appreciable. Their concern was that if our vehicles were involved in a minor accident, if they had the hazardous warning labels, the police and firebrigade would have to implement their hazard protocols, and might shut the whole of the M25 because our lorry had a fender bender with a case of mapp on board.

I think I need a sticker on my rse. That's a damn site more dangerous than any bottles of Mapp I've got laying around.

Don't know if it's true but I heard that vans or any vehicle for that matter can't be lifted and towed away.....maybe a plus for those of us who work up in the city a lot !

Unless you are carrying 300 mapp bottles on a day to day basis, you don't need anything due to the the PR regs.

I agree, my van insurers said I'm good to carry upto 30 bottles of mapp gas before their interested......Maybe because they have safety valves on them makes a difference.
