Once the above become blocked can they be cleansed out or is that not a practical option.

Oh it's flexcon the brand of gauge not a glowworm flexicom boiler.
If that's the case get a new one, drain the pressure off via a drain off. Make up the new one and do a quick swap. Poke a screwdriver where it goes in to make sure that is clear.

Or if your worried get a plumber to do it.
 
Thanks for your advice Phoenix, I can assume then that if it is the gauge that is blocked and not the connection into it that it is not really an option to clear it out.
Just that many moons ago when I was GSR I must have removed and cleared around 20-30 blocked gauges from the worc 28cdi's, they were notorious for getting blocked but most could be cleared as the small communicating hole was accessible.
