Hi all, I have just been given a dishwasher but the only available location in my kitchen means that I have to use some flexible hoses and I have no choice but to route the hoses behind my electric cooker. Is there any law or legislation from stopping me doing this. Obviously the safety aspect is worrying me as well, is there any other option I could look at.
Thanks.

Hello Alan, :welcome:
if it is possible to run the pipes in flexible ( do you mean plastic or fitting hoses? ) what prevents it being done in copper?
is it just the water supply or do you mean the waste as well?
look at the cooker manufacturers instructions for any advice, as to clearances behind.
without seeing what's there, would recommend run in copper at low level, possibly cutting into the plaster if needed.
as its an electric cooker, might be good to pose the question on the electrical forum as well.
