Hi all, complete newbie,
Really stuck. I've plumbed in a new kitchen sink ,taps etc and changed an isolation valve (which is still leaking ever so slightly from the top, help!) but also the waste pipes had to be re jigged but they kept leaking and I thought a flexicon connector pipe would be the answer to connect from under the plug to the waste pipe. However, both ends are screw fittings and won't marry, so what do you do? Have I just bought the wrong part? thanks

Any good?

The flexible is compression fitting to compression fitting so needs to go pipe to pipe. It looks like your missing some bits from the trap, do you have more pipes??? It’s not entirely clear where you’re trying to get to and from. Looks like the trap just needs cutting to size

Yes, took them away as they were too long, cut them down but leaking like mad. Trying to get from sink outlet above to waste opening on the right which is closer than it looks in the pic. I thought I might be able to run the flexipipe from the sink oulet to the waste opening on the left.

Are you able to edit your picture and show us where you are trying to get to and from

If above is correct is there any reason why the whole lot can`t be moved to the left so it lines up?

Julia. If we can have some more images of the complete cupboard and what 'parts' you have lying around I'm sure we can help ;)
So basically, I can't line it up because the full sink on the right is lower than the previous one and the pipes can't be cut back anymore. So when I attach the suckers they keep leaking, even the u bend that I removed which wasn't altered is leaking. I though the valve would be the hard part. :(

Sometimes the trap kits supplied with sinks aren't of great quality, and it doesn't look like you've done a great job of installing it. Buy another trap kit (better quality one) and start again.

In my defence, it was installed by the previous owners :)

With this though, does it mean I'm back to square one and will have to saw bits down?

The good news though is that it will work! Plus you'll then have far more skills than you started out with ;)
I will let you know Dave. We are getting it today. Is it usual to always put in a new trap with a new sink then? You should have seen the black gunk I had to remove from the pipes  they were nearly blocked o_O

TBH Julia I wouldn't countenance not doing it. It's such a false economy and such a PIA. Life is too short to try to mend and make do - IN THIS INSTANCE. I'm all for saving money (being in Yorkshire ) but I've many more things I want to do than worry about whether the £3 I've saved is going to leak!
Once it's been installed a while, all the old rubber components 'set' to the shape they were installed to so become un-reuseable anyway.
Bite the bullet and install new as advised. You'll not regret it.:D:D:D
