Hi all

have been asked by a builder to fit a new mains.

He he is supplying the pipe n fittings but is using floplast. I normally only use JG so am after a little advice.

Are floplast fittings demountable?? Looked everywhere but can't find a straight answer

cheers all

Well the JG ones can be completely disassembled by just unscrewing the socket then the pipe can be removed and the fitting re-assembled. Sorry if I wasn't clear. That's how I've always understood demountable

If you're on about the white fittings 22 & 15mm no they can't. if it's the ones in the link blue mdpe , then yeah they can

Cheers Irish I thought that they would but just wanted to save looking a knob on site if I don't get the pipe in far enough or something. Just so I can start again. Thanks again

Know what you're saying , that's why I use polyplumb you can take it apart and have a look if you're not sure!

Always nice to be sure. Particularly at mains pressure

Fortunately it is just a temp solution whilst other work is carried out, I'll upgrade to something better

My mum had a brown talbot horizon back in the day, it was like a lego poo on wheels.
