Flow and return temperature

Hello all,
Is there and ideal temperature that shout be set for dhw and heating?

If its too cold turn it up
If its too hot turn it down

Somewhere in the middle of those two is ideal :beer:

63c or below if you've got a lot of DHW storage - typically will heat to 57ish. But if it's high use temp needs to be higher to keep up with demand. But blast it once a week to keep Liggonella at bay.

Thanks for the reply guys. Reason why I was asking is because my friend called me up saying that she has scalded her hands as the boiler British gas fitted was making the water too hot. 2 engineers came round but couldn't figure out what the problem was. I then asked her to check the temp which was set to 75c. I told her to turn it down to 55c. I'm just a bit puzzled as to why those engineers didn't just turn down the temp.....

Under Floor Heating

Water at hot outlets should ideally be maximum 48C and for vulnerable people, 38C (I think)

Flow temp of primary should be set such that return is well under 55C for condensing, whilst maintaining a 20C delta between flow and return.

75 is flow temp for radiators, probs that's why

HSE guidelines state stored domestic hot water temp should be at a minimum of 60°C (typically 65°C) to prevent onslaught of Legionella.
Advise on fitting thermostatic mixer valves at taps if temperature is an issue.

Flow 82 Return 72 (non condensing)
Cylinder (DHW) 60 (stat fitted 1/3 up from cyl base)
