Doing my fga course next month, is there much involved. Been told to be at the centre for 2pm on a friday. Thinking there ain't much to it lol! :) Got my TPI analyser delivered this week. Looks a good bit of kit.

So whats involved in the course, and how usefull is the analyser for fault finding & servicing?

Mine was a 1/2 ish day course, 1 hour practical with 4 tests and 1 hourish sat down explaining rules and regsl!

It's a very simple course, pretty much impossible to fail. The fga is essential for servicing condensing boilers, cannot do it without.

Did mine at baxi training, full day, first half of the day was in the classroom second half was the practical assessment basically taking readings from 3 appliances and saying whether its safe or not, plus written exam 5 questions lol, also showed us how to set up a gas valve an a few other bits

Mine was the same as the other lads, just a few practicals on a few different boilers and a theory test and away you go. Took about 5 hours. I've got a TPI and its a great bit of kit

Cheers on the info guys. Tried it out today after an install, seems easy enough to use suppose its just understanding the readings. Mine is a TPI as well. Love the fact its got diff temp, manometer and leak detection too! Well chuffed

It's a doddle and a nice little earner for the training centres
