Hi guys,

I have read quite a few threads on here about the analysers but it's quite old threads. I am after a analyser as I am enrolling my gas course by the end of this month. I would like to get my tools ready for the next winter season which means I am willing to Bebe fully qualified by October - November this year. Back in the days in Germany I had those old testo analysers. What would you prefer or recommend in terms of quality, servicing, and having a good decent kit?

I would like to back up myself for the future with a printer and having less hassle with breakdowns etc..

I would appreciate any help and advise.

Kind regards,

ron

I had a Testo for years was cracking bit of kit , now i have a TP1 and it is complete pants , also used an anton in the past was imho was pretty average.

Thanks hammer,

So you would recommend testo ? If so which model would you go for ?

Mine is 327-1 testo.
Use it for industrial, commercial and domestic Gas and Oil.
Also use it for commercial catering. I bet I use it most days for something as it does all sorts.
One thing I use it a lot for is flow and return temps .
Cannot fault it.

One before was 325 testo had for 15 years.

If current one fails, I'd buy another testo

I've had 2 Testo's both very good units, only replaced the first one because it was getting a bit dated, still have it at home still works, just needs calibration

Was getting my first analyser last year and after lots of research including all the old threads here I settled for the familiar Anton Evo2. Testo was something I've never used and for equivalent features testo was 50% more expensive than Anton. I couldn't find a Kane with all the features I needed.

I'm happy with Evo2, best points are its solid construction and the gas sniffer.
Bad points - flue test proble hose is extremely rigid and a real pain in the arse to use. If it wasnt fot the hose I'd give it a 10/10

I use testo 327-1 nice bit of kit calibration and service cost this time was £160 + vat took about a week , kane is another make to consider calibration cost is cheaper and quicker so i have been informed all the best and i hope your soon qualified regards kop.

I'm using a Kane 455. Had it for over a year now and it does everything I need to for domestic work and will hopefully do what I need for commercial work too when I start doing it. Only annoying thing is a 2m startup and shutdown procedure during which you can't use the analyser. You soon get used to it though and just start it up whilst doing something else!

Software wise they do an app to link it with an iPhone or Android to email tightness tests etc on completion.

for domestic kane 455/456 or testo 327-1

depends what you want it for

I use an evo 2. But if it is going to sit in the garage for 12 months I would buy one closer to the time. As it will cost you another £100 odd pounds to have it calibrated again before you can use it.

IVE THE TESTO 330-1LL and its a brilliant bit of kit , far better than any kane or anton, ( ive used them all ) testo is by far the better one , only drawback is the 330-1ll is expensive but theyre are cheaper models ,
