He has a bloke working for him who has been doing it about twenty five years but always as a heating engineer's mate. What's the quickest way for him to get qualified. He's about 46 years old. Cheers unguided1

thousands of pounds and a trip to college there are plenty of threads on here about it

onyone working on appliances must have a qualification for that appliance whether its CEN1 WAT1 HTR1 AND CKR1 and to operate a flue gas analyser you have to have a CPA1 qualifications and also be gas safe

not so anyone can buy a fga and use it to do all sorts of readings what they cany do without cpa is use those readings for any offical use regaeding gas could be used on solid fuel or oil could be used as a carbon monoxide detector

the point being without your cpa1 qualification you can not prove you are competent in the eyes of the law to use correctly and understand its readings and the actions that result from the readings with regards to gas appliances.
