Hi chaps,

What temp would you expect the flue gases to reach? Serviced one earlier and was surprised it only got up to 155c

cheers

dave

90/120 oil boilers are the ideal size for efficiency in many ways. They tend to better the smaller boilers, ie have similar or better flue temp (lower) , even if basic baffling.

Thanks guys - I had it running for about 45 mins. I guess it's just working the way it should. The nett efficiency was reading 93% and the gross 87%. The reason I queried it was that I am used to seeing flue gases read 200 - 250c

thanks
dave

Even if it's an old Warmflow 90/120 the flue temperature should be not far from 200C max.
There have been so many models of those standard efficiency Warmflows.
Some of the really old 90/120 models, for example, has only 3 basic baffle plates but it's MIs say FGT at max output is 195C (both the smaller 50/70 & 70/90s are 25C higher FGT in same model of that era)
