hi serviced alot of fires in precast flues and found most dont pull very well.when going into the loft on some of them i have noticed the transition block from precast to twin wall is a 90degree block. can 45 degree blocks be purchased to fit the old 63mm precast blocks.also on the old 63mm flues some just dont pull apart from changing the terminal from ridge to a pot type and sweeping is there anything else that can be done.

thanks ant

have to check but i dont think you can have 90deg on precast max angle is 45deg but i may be wrong as i dont do fires

these flues are a pain,we had spiders webs,in terminal, cause the fire to spill,

spoke to gas safe today and they said if existing fire is in place and flue is in poor condition i can redo in loft with twin wall connecting to the concrete 90 degree transition block as long as it pulls but if a new fire is fitted then its a new installation not maintenance and a new flue system would have to be installed.can you imagine the mess installing a complete new precast system into the wall thats why i wondered if a 45 block was available to fit.
