Fluid leaking from back of gas fire

Hello, a few days ago I noticed there are two trails of orangey-brown fluid coming from the back of the gas fire. I just wondered if anyone knows what it is, what needs to be done, and does it mean the fire is unsafe to use if it is leaking this stuff?
