Discuss Fluidmaster - Fill valve in the Bathroom Advice area at Plumbers Forums

Had a issue with a Fluidmaster fill valve plastic 1/2" fitting. After being installed with a B&Q slimline toilet had to keep adjusting as when filling always slightly overflowed.
Checking today to ensure no debris was the issue, their was none though right replace unit. However on closer inspection noticed on the small pin shut off valve the end was white so removed rubber washer and noticed a build up of scale. Scraped off and now working fine, so worth a check & clean before replacing yes I know they are cheap but currently every pound counts, hope it's helpful to someone else.
