Hi All.
We completed a power flush on a central heating a couple of months ago, so Worcester could take it under their repair scheme. We completed a full power flush, then heated the system up with system cleaner, fully drained the system, and then flushed the system with cold water, radiator by radiator. (Opened a drain off and shut one of the heating pipes off, enabling it to go around the full system before draining).
Now, Worcester have come to the boiler and said we had failed to flush the heat exchanger, and i was not aware this could really be done? The boiler is a Worcester RI (one of the non condensing boilers)
If someone could get back to me, as we are there in the morning to try and clean the heat exchanger. As said previous, its had a chemical in for around 2 hours and was on maximum setting on the heat output on the boiler control.
Many Thanks
