OK does anyone know how long it takes copper to corrode to leaking point if you don't wipe the joint off properly ???
We all know you don't want your pipes turning snotty green when you've gone !!!

all depends on how much, where it is etc, in my experience i have only come across copper tht has coroded when its in contact with steel

Cheeers Fuzzy, just wondered, ever seen holmes on homes on discovery, they came across it , said it would lead to corrosion and all it needed was warming and wiping off.
Also noticed it on alot off jobs i go to !!

never seen the programme, flux looks awful if nto wiped off, corrosion would also dpened on the type of flux, self cleening or not etc, some is highly active, the worst i found was power flux

Don't want to seem nosey fuzzy, you on the beer ? you spellings out of this world . lol :)

even plumbers aren't perfect.

no steart, i dont drink, thankfully i am judged n plumb ability more than my spelling or grammar. uon a forum, its not important to get those things right, its more about quick replies, if the receiver can follow the thread thats all that counts
