Forum Due To Be Styled.

I've spend the past couple of night changing the style of our other main two advice forums. Firstly TilersForums.co.uk | Tile Forums | Tiling Forum, and then Electricians Forum | Electrical Forum | An electrical forum for electricians in the UK - Powered by vBulletin. And this forum is next.

It'll be some form of blue, and it'll be within the next week. I've put this forum last for too long now and I think it's time it changed.

Let me know if you would like any features adding, or a chatroom, or some arcade system (we have one on TilersForums.co.uk here: TilersForums.co.uk | Tile Forums | Tiling Forum) or anything else you know of that can exist on a forum.

Thought I'd raise the question now to get the old minds going.

And after then we'll require a couple more moderators, so get your thinking caps on and stick some fresh names in this thread and you'll be considered. Thanks for your patience if you've already expressed interest in moderation, but I think we'll need to make a new list of those interested so please do stick your name down again for us.

thats the idea, mind you I dont know how you might feel if certain companies start advertising thier wares on the forum, but it would be easy to spot the genuine guys getting rid of bits and pieces instead of companies advertising for free, with complete systems.

we would suss them out no probs.....we have forsale and wanted sections on our other forums and they run ok....Only second hand goods are allowed to be sold which keeps it fair..

lennytheloon is right, too many 1 upmanships going on, we are all mostly pigheaded and we are all the best plumbers in the world, but we are supposed to be here to help and be helped. how about a 3 strikes and your owt policy or something similar??

have just read a post from somebody else who has been stung by a non payer. would it be possible to have some sort of list, without getting into legal probs with a general name and "beware" beside it??

im up for moderator if youll have me!

It's not really a competition for whos the best member we want...just a nice clean friendly forum ...

We have been busy re-styling the other forums and this one osnext along with a bit of clean up....

The other forums run like clock work , just this one has been neglected abit....and thanks to good members like you etc , we will get it back on track and the best place for plumbers to be...

of if you want you could put silly mistakes by ourselfs.

i made a school boy error the other day.i piped up a basin with a thermostaic mixer valve on it and went to set it up and make sure every thing was ok and i hadnt checked what pipe was hot or cold wooops
hot was coming out of the cold tap and the the mix was coming out hot wasnt happy just coz was trying to get down the cafe and not thinking bout wht i was ment to be doing

We used to have that, but we think the minutes are better.... then it changes to hours then days....

I mean on each post/reply not on the last post. This would help to identify how old the replies are and wheather you would be wasting your time if the post is quite old.

Like yours was 5 hours ago and then the ones before are 2 days ago and so on...
