Just received an email from Harvey asking me to go on one of their training days. Could get a free water softener. It says there are terms and conditions. Has anyone been on this course and found out what these terms are

You can go on the course, but it is not remotely possible that Harvey is going to give you a ''Free Water Softener''. Except the competition is getting fierce. The only reason they want you on the course is to try and convince you to install their products. They will tell you that you could easily sell at least TWO softeners a week and in effect earn more than a heating engineer. You will then be sold one of their units at a ''discount''? In effect, they are trying to make you a Sales Rep (in disguise) for Harvey.
Good luck.
BTW, expect to spend money as opposed to get a free water softener

I got the same email and was wondering the same thing!

I notice on their website that they offer water softener rental as well as outright sales. So I think the "free" one might be a rental and as long as you sell/fit X number each month, the rent is free. Don't know for a fat though, that's just speculation..

If you choose to attend, you will be given a ''Free'' water softener on the day (should you accept to have one given to you). But the condition will be that you sell X amount of water softener within a year. Failing that, you will then receive a bill in the post for the ''Free'' water softener you were given.
All they want to do is: Sell you their product, or make you a Rep so they can inadvertently boost sales. If you're confident you can persuade your customers to buy at least TWO water softeners in a year, then go for the free one.
