Hi guys

Can anyone explain how a frost stat on an outdoor firebird works . How does it switch onthe boiler when there is no power if the time clock is off.

Cos it should have a permanent live and a switched live.

Which is why a label goes on the fused spur inside the house saying 'Do Not Turn Off. Frost Protection'

Cheers

the boiler I was working at has been wired with a plug top therefore only 1 live hence the confusion.

I would correct that if you can, or tell them to get a sparks in.
