Can you believe it, - this idiot on the Oil and Solid Fuel section of forum, after posting about serious fumes coming from his oil burner and asking how he would seal it, has a new post!
Does he think we won't notice it's him again asking if it's possible to get back draft when boiler not going!
He has obviously been doing the servicing himself, despite denials

Shall we wind him up?

It wouldn't bother me, if you did!
He certainly wound me up. Said in first thread he had serious fumes from burner, then later denied that. Said he was trying to seal the blast tube entry, then said an engineer had recently serviced it. Despite advice, he kept asking how to seal it. Thread was closed and days later he is back with a new thread to ask if its possible fumes can come from a burner after it stops!
Everything points to he's done it himself and things are going badly. What if he has kids in the house and boiler going bad?

I know mate its beyond funny isn't it. I just can't fathom these people that have such reckless disregard for other peoples safety, stuff their own

I tell you what best I can't even be bothered he's just responded to your other message and he's just trying it on Come on AP make him your first banning

I politely replied to him. From his last message he probably can't really be banned. But, in his own words he had said previously he wanted to seal the burner. Looking for information about sealing fumes is silly

I know mate I've just had some snotty reply from someone trying to DIY their Combi. I love the amount of childish adults you get on here that just sulk when you won't tell them what they want to hear

What an absolute tool that bloke sounded! I hope he registers with the forum now!

Report the message Matt. Same as you would a post.

I'm in the mood to strangle a cretin.

I knew a mod would deal with him. Love his self found gas safe info from 2011. Very good read that

Almost as good as the one asking if you could use plastic pipe and fittings for gas lines.

Reminds me of this customer I once had. Asked me to look at their boiler. It was ancient and in poor shape, and I found soot in the room and evidence of fume leakage. I said I couldn't touch it as it either needed fixing properly or replacing, and I switched it off and left a danger do not use sticker on. He muttered something along the lines of "well its been like this for ages and we're still breathing", and as soon as I left the guy switched it back on. They had 3 young kids there. Smart place, new kitchen, all shiny with granite worktop, and 2 newish, smart looking cars in the drive and they weren't short of a bob or two, yet they were happy on using a knackered old thing that could potentially kill them! Can't understand some people.
