New to the forum. Currently doing a gas apprenticeship at Eastleigh college as a change of career. Has anybody got any views on what is the most reliable gas analyser which has reasonable callibration costs? Thanks.
Portsmouth could have done with a few of your relatives yesterday
Gas Analyser prices are coming down all the time now as more and more are sold due to the new generation of boilers and reg changes. Calibration costs will come down ,as more and more independent boys open up to cope with demand, hopefully soon a loan service will start ,so you can loan one whilst yours is away but think turn around will get quicker also Stick to a well know brand as also expect new makes to come on to the market as demand increases, other than that it’s the one that suits you best, as you are starting out you may want one with more functions to save you purchasing other equiptment, I prefer the basic model and use other equipment for other tests but that is maybe because I have other equipment anyway
Also as you are starting out ,you may look at the second hand market, get one that is calibrated, but as said top models are coming down in price and many more established gas plumbers are ungrading and selling there older, perfectly operational analysers
