Can anyone recommend a good, reliable gas analyser/printer system??
I always get mixed answers when I ask fellow gas installers.
Cheers

They all pretty much do the same job. Check service and calibration prices as after a couple of years you can end up having paid far more for that than for the machine itself.

Some machines do only one or more fuel, some do solid fuel, gas, kero, derv and biodiesel in one tool.

My choice is the Kane 455, does everything it says on the tin and then some only problem is getting parts from Kane can sometimes be a chore. The other alternative is a Testo, nice and easy to use and very tuff.

Anton Sprint V2

I have a Kane, had about four years, its ok,had no problems, but then again should not with calibration and service costing so much,I have to remove the batteries on the printer as starting to go flat, even when printer not used, so looking around, thought I might keep the kane for when main analyser in for calibration

And agree with Mark the Anton Sprint V2 looks good

But am just wondering with expected reg change early next year about manditory analyser testing ,that maybe I should wait and see if any really good deals materialise on analyser kit purshases

Mine is the Kane KM900, which I chose primarily because it does all the different fuels. Never had any problems but the servicing and calibration at £250 a go is a rip off.

Mine is a TPI 712. If/when I replace it I will buy an Anton V2. They all seem to do more or less the same job, but the calibration costs (and more importantly the time it takes) is quite high for the TPI.

Testo do a good range, expensive but said to be good. Recalibration £60- £70 and they pick up.

I agree with Puddle. With the reg changes expected next year, this could see some price competition amongst manufacturers.

I with Newboy, Kane 455 does the job. Did have a Testo but think much of it.

The Anton Sprint V2 covers the following:

Fuel Options: select one of the following options: natural gas, LPG, heavy oil,
light oil, coal, wood, wood pellet dry, coke, Biomass and Bagasse.

I was going to get a Kane but am so glad I got the V2. Recal is very reasonable and the best part is that you can view all your settings on the one screen when analysing, i.e. O2, CO, CO2, Ratio, Temp, XS Air, Eff. I believe with at least some of the Kanes you have to change the dial to see the other settings.
