anyone fancy doing their CCN1,
CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1 & CPA1 for £400 plus VAT at our centre 1 mile from
Glasgow Airport, just trying to kick start a wee bit of interest in the place,
2.5-3 days assessment, if you know your stuff its all the time you will need,
dates will need to be sorted depending on who else is booked

Booked myself in for cpa1 since i suppose i better get that too. £100. I said give me the question sheet and i'll fill it in now but he wasn't having it so i'll have to give up a morning of my time which will cost a lot more than £100! Such is life.
I never gave you a thought Kirk. I'll keep you in mind for when my other stuff runs out.

have you done it yet, TBH as a stand alone assessment it is difficult keeping the price down as there is a £45 certification fee to go to bpec or whoever, one assessment is £65 plus the £45 plus VAT so £100 isnt too bad (sorry!!!!!!!!)
the CPA1 assessment is 5 questions, some appliance readings to take, then visual inspection, burner pressure and gas rate, 2hrs will see you done

Doing it Monday morning. I know it is just a formality but i need to get it. The £100 is plus vat but i get that back anyway.
To tell you the truth i need the rest so i'm having the the full day off. Working too hard 7 days a week atm and i am feeling it severely. Old age doesn't come itself as they say lol

or maybe you are just keeping the afternoon for the resit in case you fail, haha, quite right have monday off where are you going for CPA1

Doing it at the local place (i'll not name them as a free ad, but you know where it is).
Being dragged off to Barbados next Saturday (i really didn't want to go) but i'm glad she booked it.
Another poor plumber:speechless:

agh Tamz my heart bleeds for you , i have to do my ACS by the end of march and I had this before because it is within days of my registration running out ,CORGI said I was no longer registered and i could not do gas work for weeks which was total rubbish as their system is flawed

why did corgi not register you the last time, did you wait too near the expiry before doing the resit which would show up on their system as not renewed? remember you can do your resit up to 6 months before expiry of the current cert with the new expiry being 5yrs after the old expiry not 5yrs after your resit meaning you dont need to wait till the day before it expires to phone and book it

I have spoken to GSR and my CCN1 expires on the 12/3/2012 with all the others following by days.
If I do the lot again before the 12/3/2012,
GSR will suspend my registration and I will not be allowed to work for maybe up to SIX WEEKS
I had this the last time and CORGI said I could not work until they got confirmation. i was not over impressed with the price quoted £620 for CCN1 plus another £650 for 5 plus CPA1 thrown it
