Gas Ch no hot water but now OK again - any thoughts?

Did a gardening job today, yep, no plumb or anything near at the mo and getting so doing gardening and handyman.

Anyway, lovely lady, said her daughter had no hot water but then came out to say it was fixed?!

Strange I thought, shes got Gas CH, said boiler working, I asked if thermostat ok but now she has hot water I am not sure.

What do you think?

Need more info, could be anything. Some customers are terrible at giving accurate information.
