Everytime there is a big bang reported on news dont tell every gas fitter has a little
moment of panic - I do -

its mostly to do with rented props and older residents gas builds up overnight and then light on or whatever - gas cooker left on - 1st ciggy - BANG

Whowever all diyers should see the pics of this one and all the others and see why gas safe fellas are it CHK

Maybe be the mods could add the link as explanation as to why UKPF will not give advice on gas then maybe people would understand easier.

easy answer, its illegal to work on gas if your not qualified, so why would anyone need to ask and why would we open ourselves up to assisting illegal work? Diesnt reaaly require an explaination if they read the headers telling them in the first place

Think you misunderstood, was thinking of a short sentence and the link instead of the current large paragraph that croppie sends when they don`t read the banner, thats all.

Although it's been reported it was a gas leak we don't yet know the full story.

And if people require pictures to illustrate why they shouldn't DIY gas then, to be honest, they deserve all that's coming to them!

I think UKPF takes the right stance when non gas people come asking but to some people a picture paints a thousand words and might make them see what they didn`t see before. That all, your the mods and I`m not gonna fall out about it.

Evening Jon - but often pictures speak a 1000 words - i wrote that and if we never had your picture we might all think you were a cuddly cute kitten CHK

I do take your points on board regarding pictures, it's eveyboy's forum after all.

I'll see if it can be done.

problem with headlines like these is we never realy get to see the full details of the findings of the investigators from whats been in the reportsb so far they seem to hint at a broken supply pipe

I agree, at the moment it's just speculation and conjecture.
